GJF presents National Jewellery Awards 2014

·         Four different segments and 26 awards categories
·         Last date for applications – 16th January 2014; Awards Nite on 21st February 2014
·         Jewellery Awards – Jewellery Category open to all including non-members of GJF
·         An independent and reputed agency shall be screening, monitoring and auditing the event.

Mumbai, December 5, 2013: The All India Gems and Jewellery Trade Federation (GJF), the national trade body for the promotion and growth of trade in Gems and Jewellery Industry across India, presents the National Jewellery Awards (NJA 2014), the most prestigious awards in the gems & jewellery (G&J) industry to recognize the immense talent, innovation and creativity of its valued members and associates. NJA 2014 are an industry’s recognition from the industry, by the industry, to the industry.

NJA 2014 comprises four different segments and 26 award categories. The four different segments are: Retailer Awards – Jewellery (For GJF members only); Manufacturer Awards – Jewellery (For GJF members only); Jewellers Awards-Jewellery (Open to all in the industry fraternity); and Students Award Jewellery (Open for students presently studying in a gems & jewellery institutes). Each category has a personalized timeline and appropriate assessment process in order to define the excellence of the winner in the most adequate procedure that will propel the vital recognition that one accurately earns.

The NJA 2014 Awards Nite is on 21st February 2014, and the Last/ Closing date for application - 16th January 2014. The deadlines are as follows; First Jury selection - 18th January 2014; Call in date for all categories - 21nd January 2014; Final Jury - 08th February 2014.

The 15 Categories in Retailer Awards – Jewellery (Open for GJF members only) are: Best Diamond Jewellery of the Year -In Vogue; Best Diamond Jewellery of the Year –Bridal; Best Gold Jewellery of the Year-In Vogue; Best Gold Jewellery of the Year-Bridal; Best Jadau Jewellery of the Year- Precious stones; Best Jadau Jewellery of the Year- Non- Precious stones; Best Colored stone Jewellery of the Year; Best Unique & Innovative promotion of the Year; Best Advertising Campaign of the Year – Print 10. Best Advertising Campaign of the Year – Audio Visual; 11. Best single store of the Year (North, South, West, Central-East); and 12. Best Retail chain of the Year.  The Retailer Awards - Jewellery shall be nominated by valuation method drawn by expertise jury announcing the merit in different facets such as Craftsmanship, design & innovation, Customer Relation Management, Merchandising & Promotion. The 5 Categories in Manufacturer Awards (Open for GJF members only) – Jewellery are: 1. Best Diamond Jewellery Design of the Year; 2. Best Gold Jewellery Design of the Year; 3. Best Jadau Jewellery Design of the Year; 4. Best Platinum Jewellery Design of the Year; 5. Best C Z Jewellery Design of the Year (Manufactured with precious metals). The Manufacturer Awards - Jewellery shall be selected by assessment procedure drawn by a very specialized jury constituting of experts who merit in specialized aspects of Craftsmanship and design & innovation. The 5 Categories in Jewellers Awards-Jewellery (Open to all in the industry fraternity) are: 1. Paramparik Jewellery of the Year (North, Central- East, West, South); 2. Unique Jewellery Design of the Year (Manufactured with precious metals & stones). The Jewellers Awards-Jewellery shall be selected by assessment procedure drawn by a very specialized jury constituting of experts who merit in specialized aspects of Craftsmanship and design & innovation. NJA - Students Awards-Jewellery (Open for students presently studying in a gems & jewellery institutes) is a special award to encourage the young talent in the jewellery industry. It is based on following criteria: Jewellery design should be innovative, novel and extraordinary. It should be technically viable to manufacture. It should have its own identity & uniqueness. Jewellery should be practically wearable with ease and comfort.

About the All India Gems & Jewellery Trade Federation

The All India Gems and Jewellery Trade Federation (GJF) is the national nodal and the largest single trade body in India for the promotion and growth of trade in gems and jewellery across India. It represents over 6,00,000 players comprising manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, distributors, laboratories, gemologists, designers and allied service providers to the domestic Gems & Jewellery Industry.  The Gems & Jewellery Industry is highly labour intensive and currently employs 4.6 mn individuals.
