(carpet area) at Dharavi in Mumbai , stated to be Asia’s largest slum.  The “Global Champs” pre-school situated at Shafi Manzil, Near Jama Masjid, Chinniwadi, Dharavi Main Road, Mumbai was inaugurated by Shri Deepak Parekh (Chairman, HDFC Limited).

Mr. Rajesh Bhatia, Promoter and Managing Director, Tree House Education and Accessories Limited, said “We are pleased to announce the opening of our Global Champs preschool center at Dharavi in Mumbai catering to children of the urban lower income groups, primarily in the slums.
Early childhood education is key for children in the age group upto 6 years, to experience childhood differently and build on learning in the environment of a preschool. Research has shown that children who have had a good experience in their formative years at preschool go ahead and complete their primary and secondary schooling successfully and the dropout rate in high school falls significantly. The Global Champs endeavor of Tree House is towards building an ecosystem for helping children of the urban lower income groups to overcome that hurdle.
Tree House strives to give a world class experience in its preschools. At Global Champs we promise to maintain the same standards. Pre-schooling for all is what the Tree House management team desires for the nation. We believe that education enables individuals to reach their full potential as human beings. Education is also the driver of the country’s economic development. ” Mr Bhatia added.
Under the Global Champs brand, Tree House now has 6 schools in slum areas of Kandivali, Chembur, Vikhroli, Kharghar, Malad and Dharavi.
Tree House, a pre-school establishment offering early education for children in the age group of 18 months to 6 years today has 490 centers across 63 cities in India.
